While these worksheets do not mimic the format of any particular exam, they are similar in content and difficulty to many Gifted and Talented entrance exams at the middle school level. In New York City, applicants to schools such as Hunter College High School and The Anderson School may find these worksheets valuable. Mathematical topics include arithmetic computation, decimals, fractions, geometry, proportions, rates, percents, unit conversions, and number theory. All of the skills needed to solve these problems are traditionally covered by the end of sixth grade, but the problems are nevertheless non-routine and very challenging. For example, a problem might be challenging because it involves multiple skills that aren't often used together or because the problem is unusual enough so that it is not immediately obvious how the problem could be solved. This package contains five worksheets, each with ten questions, and corresponding answers and answer explanations. One worksheet has computation problems, three worksheets have involved word problems, and one worksheet has Fermi problems.
